Adventures

We travel to far away lands
from this little porch
and slay dragons
of ant-like proportions.
We fight the demons
of hunger and poverty
rescuing damsels in distress
only to find they're ladybugs in disguise.
We look for the pot of gold
at the end of the freeway
while we pray for our “happily ever after”
here in the Big Easy.
